From August 23rd-26th, OfferUp participated in NIADA's Convention and Expo in San Antonio. Similar to many of our friends and dealers we met at the event, this was OfferUp's first live event of the year.
It was an amazing experience for the OfferUp team who attended - being able to meet our customers in person, speaking face to face, and talking about market trends. We were able to hear directly how Covid has impacted our dealer partners, shopping trends, and the challenges of limited inventory.
The main topic of the event was Special Finance for dealerships. Given the market, our customers have gotten creative and innovative. OfferUp is leading the charge for Special Finance options for dealerships, which has become a necessity for many during these times.
Unlike other platforms and online marketplaces, dealers can engage with car buyers, encourage them to call, as well as provide applications and paperwork without ever leaving the app. More importantly, the Verified Dealer Program for SpiFi dealers enables you to let your shoppers view your inventory and work with you to find what they can afford and remove the pricing from the listing.
